it felt like so much more.
and we’re up in the early morning reminiscing.
…at least we talk like we always did.
the lights went out
…as i watched. i was alone in the dark.

through the window, i saw nothing.
even the kitchen light went dark, and my eyes were passing over brick i could not…

i am the summer,

i’ll find it creeping through the spaces between buildings and cobblestones paved in light like the sun.
